Sorry

Sorry we haven't been posting as much as we anticipated. Not much has been going on here. Since the last post here is what has happened:

- Jud and I went to Chicago so we could watch his sister and so that I could see my cousin Megan.
- My best friend from college Melissa came to DC for labor day.
and
- College football started so I will be occupied every Saturday for the next few months.

That's it. Not exciting at all hence the lack of posts. Hope all is well.

Interesting

I just read an interesting article about the necessity for change and adaptation in higher education so that American can continue to compete in the global marketplace. Here is an excerpt:

"This is not to say that the best American universities are no longer the leaders in discovery and innovation. They are. Rather, it is to say that the success of the higher-education system must be measured by more than just innovations. Its long-term performance depends on its ability to provide learning to a broad cross sections of citizens, to advance national proficiency in math and science and to create an adaptable work force, as well as to develop a national appreciation for discovery, entrepreneurship and the creative process. "

The article appears in this week's Newsweek magazine and was written by Michael Crow, the President of Arizona State University, my alma mater!

The Third Musketeer

Well, we couldn’t possibly start a blog without including the third, and arguably cutest, member of the gang. As you have previously read, the little trouble maker’s name is Toni (again, we didn’t name her). Born April 21st 2005, she has had a hard two years in the foster system before coming to live with us. Luckily, she has made herself quite at home and now serves as the queen of the castle!

It’s a good thing she is so irresistible… She’s definately got the look down. You know, the look that makes you want to give her anything that she wants (including some of your dinner…). All in all though, she’s the perfect pup. She knows when to play and when to curl up and take a nap (as long as she can sleep on the comforter).

She has really brought a lot to our lives; mainly a ton of laughs… and 7am walks. She’s great to have around, and we wouldn’t want it any other way!

Enjoy the pics, and no, you can’t have her!

How Exciting?!

Just wanted to take a moment to thank the creator of this Blog for inviting me to join along in the blogging fun! I promise to contribute witty and humorous entries that are just as hilarious as my daily antics...

Thanks, I am very excited about having chosen to make my Blogging debut on the "Jud and John" blog!

Lets get this show on the road...

Welcome

So I'm not sure what this blog will be exactly but here it is. Jud and I will both be updating it whenever we have something to share I guess. Sometimes it will be about us, sometimes it will be about current events. Who knows?

Anyway there it is.

Here is some background on our current situation.

We live in Washington D.C. in a 600 square foot apartment (I'm not kidding).
We have a wonderful mut of a dog named Toni (We didn't name her).
We both hate our jobs (A LOT).

I know it sounds bleak but we are really enjoying life. I mean, we are young and we have both gotten to do so much more than we ever imagined. In the next couple of months we will be making some pretty significant life changes that we hope will lead to even more happiness and success. Keep checking back to see how it all unfolds!

John

p.s. Jud will write the next one which I'm sure will be more fun.
